not at all worth buying Aug 20, 2009

I bought this toy box for my daughter for christmas 08, and it did not go together well, and after six months of use (not even filled to capacity/no heavy items) the safety hinge broke through the back wall and the frame is no longer holding. Extrememly poor construction, if i can get my money back i would. It looks nice enough. if you want in to sit on, i wouldn't put any more than 20-30 lbs on it! (and that's being generous). and if you're thinking "well i'll buy it anyway, because i bet those people didn't put it together right", my husband is an engineer, we followed the directions, promise.

This was the worst toy box ever! Tons of screws were missing, the hinges were the wrong ones, could not get a hold of anybody from the company, thank God for Amazon who took it back with quickness and refunded me asap! Kudos to Amazon!
